Turn Your Daytime Makeup Into A Nighttime Look Quickly

If you have a hard time getting your eyeliner to stay put, you can apply eyeshadow after you put on eyeliner. You should lightly put your shadow over your eyeliner with a cotton ball. This will seal the application of eyeliner and it will last longer and not run.

New products called mattifying lotions are perfect for any makeup kit because they can be applied anywhere on the face that appears slick from excessive oils. These lotions often have a creamy or heavy gel consistency and can be applied without a mirror; it also provides a smooth foundation upon which your makeup can be applied.

Make sure you shave areas on which you intend to apply fake tanning products at least a day before applying the product. You can wax or shave, but make sure the area is free of hair and wait 24 hours before applying the fake tan. That way, your skin will be smooth and any inflammation from the hair removal process will have subsided.

For added impact and eye-opening, beautifully curled lashes, use a heated eyelash curler. If you would prefer to use a regular eyelash curler, you can create a similar effect by giving your curler a quick blast of a few seconds with your hairdryer. Keep wool pads that have been soaked in water, in your fridge. You can also keep teabags or cucumbers in your fridge. This is great if you have puffy eyes and can relieve them. Using this on your eyes will make you look refreshed and will last all day.

Always remove makeup before going to bed. If you sleep with your makeup on, you increase the likelihood you will get acne and blackheads. Makeup can trap dirt and oil on your face. Clean and tone your face every night. Don’t forget to add moisturizer when you are finished cleaning.

To reduce eye puffiness, try a piece of potato. Leave the slices in place for around 10 minutes. Chilled teaspoons, teabags or cucumber also work well. This can help even out the tone and give you a calming relief to your irritation.

Remember that excess sun exposure is not only bad for your skin, it is also bad for your hair. As a result of sun exposure hair may become dry, brittle, fragile and discolored. Apply a generous amount on your feet and cover them with thick socks at night before you go to bed. To help your makeup last longer, layer it when you apply it. Place your blush over your foundation, and then set it with a powder. Layering makeup gives the makeup something extra hold, and also creates a softer, more youthful look. Primer is especially useful when trying to create layers of makeup.

To decrease the look of facial puffiness from within your mouth, put an ice cube in your mouth and hold it up to your palette with your tongue. This will make your face less puffy by relaxing it. Use a bit of chilly water on your skin and you’ll look great in seconds!

Open the pores on your face by steaming your face often. It can be done quite easily by filling a bowl with hot water and holding your face over the bowl with a towel over your head. It will open the pores, draw out deep dirt and debris and make your skin glow. Splash your face with cold water directly after to close the pores back up.

Eyeshadows can be tricky for eyes over 40. Metallic, glittery shadows are beautiful, but eyelid skin develops tiny folds which are, unfortunately, accentuated by those gorgeous metallic colors. On the other hand, some matte shadows look too flat and dry, and do not flatter the eye either. Instead, look for shadows that are neither matte nor metallic: “quietly lustrous” should be the goal.

It is important to remember the beauty starts from within. Take care of yourself by eating a healthy diet. Get lots of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains in daily. Consider taking a high quality multivitamin as well. You will look younger, more vibrant, and feel increasingly beautiful too.

While beauty says nothing about who you are as a person, it never hurts to put some effort into looking your best. Apply the tips that this article has given to you. Just remember not to go overboard, because being beautiful is not the most important thing in the world.
